So the question is, who are the 10 most powerful networkers?? NOT the 10 most powerful platforms
I’m guessing that Ashton Kutcher may be one them, but he is not really the target of my argument. Yes I know he has over 4 million followers on Twitter, which is about the population of my home country Ireland. The point is why not reward the very enthusiastic social networker with company rewards.
Online communities are growing, and growing, and you get the idea. The number of networks, and volume of users is escalating all the time. IMO people are becoming restless. Rewind a couple of years to say 2007, and everything was about convenience, and speed! Now I believe their is a shift to experience, and quality. This may be the ramblings of a mad man, but I really believe the emphasis is shifting. Even in these difficult economic times, people are becoming more aware of genuine quality, and product experience. Perhaps an after effect to the incredibly price conscious times at the peak of the recession. Bottom Line people are educating themselves more, and brands can capitalize on this through the wonderful world of the internet.
Back to the topic!! With Geolocation coming thick and fast, why not engage some of the more prolific users of social networks to see the effect. Take an example of an unemployed interesting individual, who spends a lot of time on social networking sites, often creating debate with their hundreds or thousands of friends. Why not offer incentive to these individuals on an opt in basis to promote your brand. People trust the opinion of this person, and if you can relate to them, they can in turn trust you.
